Pros

Great colleagues, and really enjoyed the collaborative effort on projects. The CEO was very supportive and of our efforts.

Cons

The company has an outmoded viewpoint when it comes to dealing with their employees. For one, they will not allow their employees to give references for those looking for other opportunities-very poor policy for the company. Most senior leadership positions are held by pharmacists, most of whom know nothing about business management. I can think of at least one department that allowed contractors to verbally abuse employees.There was one manager that was incredibly rude, and condescending, and several good employees left because of this person. Rather than getting rid of him, they simply shuffled him around to different departments.

Pros

While there is some turnover, a lot of people stay for many years. The organization is mission-driven, focused on helping pharmacists take care of patients and advocating on public health issues.

Cons

Traffic to downtown Bethesda can be tricky! Also, there is a lot to keep up with in this fast-paced environment.
