I worked at Abaxis full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people, great products to sell, and a lot of fun. You can make decent money and a lot of push to succeed.

    Cons

Pretty unfair with compensations and territories, high stress, and lots of travel. They did a great job hiring awesome people, but never kept them because quality of life became so poor!

    Advice to Management

Stay consistent with compensations and territory. Keep your star managers and reps around by making them happy.

I worked at Abaxis full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    High quality veterinary laboratory equipment
    High income level possible

    Cons

    Poor expansion plan
    High turnover

Company went from direct sales to distribution model. Signed exclusive distribution deal, almost doubled product price, and expanded sales force. When they expanded they looked at territories by prospects and didn't seem to account for distributor strength. Some territories had 10+ distributor reps with strong customer relationships while others had week distribution with as little as 1 or 2 distributor reps. Quotas were the same for all territories.

    Advice to Management

When changing the sales model either don't sign and exclusive distribution deal or take distributor strength into account when choosing expansion territories.

    Free lunch for every quater.
They have summer and xmas party. Job is not hard.

    Cons

The connection is the most important thing you need to have to stay in Abaxis.

    Advice to Management

Please be fair to your employee.

I have been working at Abaxis full-time

    Pros

The Pros to working with this company is the people here are almost like family.

Very close net groups. Flexible at times except for the end of the quarter.

    Cons

Doesn’t pay what it needs to for people who supports their families unless you’re at an executive level my guess.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Open, honest employees with great products

    Cons

Goals can be high and lots of competition

    Advice to Management

Would be great to have a forum to give feedback on management, no real resource for addressing concerns about direct managers

I worked at Abaxis full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The people
    the product you're making
and little perks of quarterly dinners
If you're Filipino you're pretty positive to get hired 😞

    Cons

If you're a temp you're a nobody unfortunately the supervisor was more into being around his own race and blindly ignoring all the inappropriate stuff they were doing but hey it is what is
If u experience racism or anything that makes u feel bad in a work place don't hesitate to call HR because closed mouths don't get fed

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to look into supervisor with negative motives
Letting go of people to save their own behinds is unethical

    Pros

    - Free meal once every quarter
    - One ping pong table and occasionally free ping pong balls in your lunch
    - Lots of microwaves in the lunchroom
    - Free name badge and key card

    Cons

If you're a cocky man with little to no skills and/or you're a misogynist, this is the perfect place for you. It seems that the people in power like to hire their own reflections.

On the other hand, if you're a smart and hardworking woman with an opinion, this is where your career and confidence go to rot and die.

    Advice to Management

It’s the 21st century. Please get on board.
