    Pros

If you are desperate to work, you can go to Akorn, negotiate high salary then.

    Cons

Horrible Place, management lacks work ethics and professional skills. If considering Akorn, please keep in mind, that there will be no work-life balance, 60+ hours a week work week and no ability to work from home. Management can refuse vacation or sick time, even if you are sick or paid for family vacation.
The team turned twice in one year.
FYI: Stock option have 5 years vesting period.

    Advice to Management

    Please close this company!

    Pros

Good if you are looking to gain some experience and move on. Some genuinely nice people are at this company.

    Cons

Poor management and no room for advancement. No work-life balance- mandatory overtime every day and weekend. Pay lower than most companies in this area in NJ. Sales and deadlines are more important than anything else.

    Pros

Benefits . Hard working co-workers. Company functions. Perks.

    Cons

Outdated facilities, specially labs. Understaffed, paper-based quality operations. Each person handles workload for at least 2. People are tired, stressed out and overloaded. Upper Management is aware of problems but does not admit. New hire inherit load of issues and can not catch up, since are overloaded with new requests/priorities. Instead of support and providing tools for success, upper Mgmt. (local and corporate) sets up new talent for failure. In addition, these "leaders" (no leadership skill there) easily point fingers and blame others, even their own reports to save their own skin. Unbelievable. Instead of Team Work, mentorship and support, new hire are left on their own and tangled in extreme corporate politics, lack of accountability and back-stabbing environment. Good workers are leaving one by one and remaining are in-process of job searching.

    Advice to Management

Local and Corporate: Stop favoritism and set up a clear roles and responsibilities to all departments (specially R&D which needs huge improvement). Upper Mgmt. needs a comprehensive leadership/ethical behavior-type training and mentorship. Support new hire and listen to employees. Otherwise good talent will keep running away ......
