Pros

Lots of free time to do homework, read, watch TV, etc.

Cons

Pay sucks, No sick time, No paid vacation, No room for advancement, Management are inconsiderate jerks. Here is how time off works... You submit a form 2 weeks in advance with the days you want off written on it. Management then attempts to call other guards and ask if theyre able to work those days. If no one is willing to work those days, you're screwed. This means you'll be missing birthdays, weddings, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc all for $9.50/hour. It's a joke. For instance (and this is what drove me to quit the next day) I was working at a site called Sandhill Preserve. The gatehouse is very small, and has no source of water besides the bathroom sink and toilet. I worked 12 hour shifts from 7am to 7pm. One day I had my girlfriend bring me by some water to drink and some food for lunch, as you are not permitted to leave. Well as luck would have it, the Owner of the company Jeff Haidet, out for a Sunday morning cruise, drove by in his Black Lexus SUV. He saw my girlfriends card parked in front of the gatehouse and decided to come ask me who it was. I told him she was bringing me some food and water and she had been here for 5 minutes. He found this to be unacceptable and demanded that she leave. There were many MANY other instances of this kind of stuff happening that I just ignored for along time. If you work for this company, expect that kind of behavior from the management. They're awful.

Pros

Decent pay, friendly employees (exclude management) they make people hate the job.

Cons

They slave you, micro manage you. The managers will eye ball you all day through the camera systems on site. They will watch your every move (no trust within their employees) they will act like they own you. They expect you to cater to the tenant. To wave all day! And if u don't smile you will get in trouble. This company sucks bad!. They will micro manage you big time!. Don't do it!.

Pros

You don't have to pay for uniforms. That's the only good thing about this company.

Cons

It started off ok, but two top people left, and everything went downhill. It's a horrible company now. All the good guards left, or were pushed out. What's left is lazy, lying, back-stabbing, unprofessional types that no other security companies want. There's no incentives to stay: no paid sick leave or vacation, no raises, no holiday bonuses (forget about ever requesting a holiday or time off), no affordable health care (they only had discounted services before, no benefits before Obama care), no real training, no support from management, etc. Morale is so low, people stopped caring about the job and company. It's just a paycheck, and it shows. No one does any work.
