I have been working at Assyst full-time

    Pros

Fantastic holiday party at the beginning of each year.

    Cons

It is an extremely low grade and low standard company. It is still in a phase of mediocrity and underachievement. This is probably the reason why salary and bonus has been pathetic in this company ever since it has come into existence. Since this company doesn’t use any advanced technology in real sense it doesn’t require any talent at all. This is one of the main reasons why the company is unable to use their resources properly. The company has totally failed in the department of proper resource management. As of result of which lot of talented employees end up suffering in this company in the long run. Due to company’s poor judgment, short sightedness, adamant attitude and bottleneck situation talent often gets sidelined here. As a result of which employees with advanced, technical degrees, certificates move out from the company as soon as possible as the company has nothing to offer. At the end of the day what is left are some resources willing to add to this mediocrity which doesn’t lead anywhere. Unfortunately, due to deliberate delay in visa processing it makes things hard for talented foreign workers and they end up suffering for a sizeable amount of time.

    Advice to Management

    nothing

    Pros

Company doesn't micromanage you to death. HR department is incredibly quick to respond to your questions and provides good communication. Feels like a small growing company with decent pay.

    Cons

Could provide more benefits toward job training and provide tuition reimbursement. Safari bookstore is about the only extra benefit provided.

Insurance could be a bit better, but the cost isn't too bad.

I don't see any opportunity for growth inside the company considering they deal with defense contacts.

    Advice to Management

Look to provide more benefits to your employees. Providing a means to education and job skill growth is not a negative.

I have been working at Assyst full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

not many that come into my mind

    Cons

I've worked here for more than 3 years and witnessed the downfall of its management and performance. They used to give employee stock and share, but those thing become frivolous now. Bonus and Salary hike are the jokes. They cut the vacation, and force you to take vacation so they can stop vacation cash-out to save money, no decent computer to work with, no training, if you're an IT person and not so busy with your project, they will ask you to do anything including changing light bulbs, fixing leaking roof.

    Advice to Management

Stop being so selfish, greedy and needy, most of you have stayed there over 20 years, that's long enough and make enough money. It's time to pay your employees what they deserve, gotta treat employees as employees, not your IT slaves.
