Pros

-A lot of people are friendly and helpful -Offices are nice

Cons

-Communication between teams is terrible. -Company meetings consist of being talked at for an hour and a half while trying to work in the background to meet deadlines -If you're a woman I wouldn't come. It's a boys club from top to bottom. All management levels are mostly men so wouldn’t expect any career progression either. -Recently a strong female member of management was 'moved on' in particularly harsh circumstances. -C-Suite went on about hitting the bonus target to the whole company for months. Didn't matter if you actually had the opportunity to make an impact it's all you heard about. Jokes were being made at the employees expense during the team meetings going on about how we need to save pennies as a company. -While all this talk was going on 2 members of C-Suite staff were 'moved on'. This would have cost the company a lot of money so seems a bit hypocritical to the previous point. -Exec team given bonuses even if they had only been in the door a few months. Us mere mortals don’t get the same treatment. -Micromanagement heavy -Restructure now means any chance of career progression is obsolete. Not that that stops managements empty promises of moving up the chain and dangling fake promotions in front of people’s faces. -Culture has been ripped out of the company. -Everyone is miserable and wants out. A lot of talk on this about the toxic people have been removed etc. I can assure you that isn't the case. -Don't trust the 5 star reviews. It's very obvious who they’re coming from. The other reviews don't have to prove anything to the board.

Thanks for sharing your comments and are disappointed to hear that you personally are not confident to express your concerns in person. Many of your colleagues regularly provide feedback and openly express their opinions. However, we recognise that not everyone feels able to, or wants to do that. To encourage maximum feedback and suggestions from our people, there are now regular opportunities to submit anonymous feedback on a variety of topics, including that of the Town Hall format and content, and wider feedback about the culture, engagement and business strategy. In response to the other ‘cons’ that you highlight, below are some facts that highlight AutoRek position. Gender – currently 30% of our workforce are female. A study by Deloitte states that in Tech Companies female representation is 25%. Even though we are ahead of the current industry norm, we continue to strive for a gender balanced team. Our ERG group ‘Women@AutoRek’ has been launched to help us to do that along with other company initiatives including enhanced policies to encourage and support women in the workplace. Bonus - this financial year the company bonus scheme changed to include an increased bonus target for all employees, plus opportunity to achieve bonus awards based upon a job level weighted combination of individual goals and company financial targets. Career and Growth - the organisational redesign supports the ability to meet the pace of business growth and continued success of AutoRek and creates a broader range of both generalist and specialist roles which will only increase as the business grows further. Line Manager development has been a priority this year and everyone that has formal responsibility for leading people will attend our Manager Fundamentals programme. Retention - our current employee retention rate is 98.6% and average tenue is 5 years. Both statistics have improved from 12 months ago and compare very favourably for the Tech sector. We genuinely want to hear from our people and encourage you to continue to provide your feedback either in person or through the anonymous internal feedback mechanisms.

We are disappointed to hear your personal comments specifically about Chris and your view of the morale of the entire Company. The Board of Directors would very much welcome a face-to-face meeting with you to hear more about these concerns and your insights on where you believe the direction of the Company is wrong. You reference that ‘all’ staff have their heads down. This does appear to be in direct contrast to both solicited and unsolicited formal and informal feedback received. Again, we would welcome the opportunity to speak further with you and any of your colleagues that you are representing to understand these comments. Please get in touch with a member of the People team so that we can facilitate these discussions.

Pros

A handful of nice people left The Edinburgh and Glasgow offices are nice

Cons

Lots of unhappy staff and unhappy clients Chaotic with a constant revolving door at the moment Toxic culture, everyone turning on each other and no one at senior management level prepared to take any responsibility incase they are next to be dismissed No one feels safe or trusts anyone, we are constantly being told the new management team really care but we have yet to see any actions that show this A large percentage of experienced people have left or are interviewing to leave Offices used to have a buzz about them, that has completely gone with hardly anyone attending them now. Real shame as they are good working spaces Senior female leaders have all been pushed out, leaving only males at the VP level. That said, when the only standing female exec openly shared that they don’t believe in International Women’s Day, what do you expect? One strong female leader was replaced with the CEO’s incompetent ‘mate’ who guess what was a middle aged white male and refers to the CEO using nicknames. That team has now completely fallen apart. The way people speak to each other in the business now is really poor, there is a lack of respect at every level. This just keeps getting worse and worse Communication between teams is the worst its ever been ‘The board’ is constantly used as a whipping tool…’the board wont be happy if we do it that way’ or ‘the board wont approve’ or ‘the board want to see this’. Just another example of poor leadership from the top

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a comprehensive review. We are very interested in your feedback/perceptions and disappointed that as a current employee that you feel so disgruntled. Given your comments re lack of trust and safety we expect that you will not want to discuss matters in person, but we would really encourage you to think about doing that, as we genuinely want to explore the points that you raise and respond to the statements in your post that appear to be misconstrued.
