Or maybe a luxury reserved for the chosen ones." "Asking for a salary increment? You might as well be asking them to donate a vital organ. It’s practically the same thing." "Ah, the classic after-probation twist: 'Oh, sorry, no increment until six months of being permanent, and oops, July's not here yet.' Such creative excuses—they should win awards for this."
