I have been working at Beacon Health Options full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Independent work environment. Decent Salary. Opportunity to support members with life goals. Opportunity to meet local service providers and community resources. Good vacation/sick/holiday time compensation. Options for medical, dental, health, vision, health savings, and retirement.

    Cons

High caseloads. Management fails to meet promised deadlines but expects coordinators to meet deadlines. Slow solution response time from management "hang tight we are working on it." Limited provider list creating difficulty meeting clients needs resulting in angry clients confronting coordinators.

    Advice to Management

Caseloads: Be kinder to your hard working employees by reducing work loads.
Management Deadlines: Hire more supervisors or improve your time management.
Slow Resolutions: Hire more staff or improve your time management.
Limited Providers: Improve negotiation skills or give providers the $ amount requested to continue services for clients.
