Very friendly co-workers, close-knit group of people Good health insurance, 100% subsidized for the employee Good work-life balance Since this is a small company, you will have the opportunity to learn lots of skills in the lab and take on lots of responsibilities. You will definitely be asked to take ownership of your work. If you are just starting out in the industry and looking to gain more professional skills, there are lots of opportunities to do that at BioGenex. Although the lab can be very busy at times, it is a good place for a recent graduate looking to gain exposure to the biotech industry. You will learn a ton about quality control and the in vitro diagnostics industry. In addition, you will also get to see how other departments in a biotech company work, such as shipping, application, field service, and sales. You will definitely see the impact of your work on the company's customers and business. BioGenex has autostainers that work pretty well and are easy to use.
Cons
The company is small, and the work environment is not suited for every personality. If you are independent and a fast learner, then this is a great environment to grow professionally. However, those who require a very structured onboarding process may struggle here. The office decor is outdated and depressing, not enough natural light in the office. No 401(k) match.
