I worked at Bodhtree (Less than a year)

    Pros

They gave out titles like it's free. As long as you are one of the favorites, you can pretty much get away with anything

    Cons

no real leadership in the company. Lack of direction and vision

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Bodhtree full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good salaries with fast opportunities for performance reviews and raises
    Good benefits (health, dental, vision)
Has a contract with a very high profile consultant (Cisco Systems Inc.), and offers one the chance to gain valuable experience

    Cons

The HR Department and most of the upper management is rather dysfunctional.
As a consultant, there is very little transparency into what the short term and long term goals for the company are.
Poor level of training and preparation for your position.
Long hours with no overtime pay. You are often expected to work longer hours than Bodhtree bills it clients without getting compensated.

    Advice to Management

Get more organized and clearly define your goals to your workforce (i.e. increase your transparency).
Fix your HR Department and HR procedures. There are countless inefficiencies, miscalculations of vacation time, and people who lack concern for actually helping any employees within the organization.

    Advice to Management

They are good the way they are!

I worked at Bodhtree full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A good place to start your career. This company is organized and has stramlined process compared to other consulting companies in the area.

    Cons

It is very difficult to get reassigned once you are on the bench. The competition is stiff in the industry and the giant consulting firms are eating the lunch of consulting companies like Bodhtree

"Great option for slowing down or ruining your career"

    Pros

nothing that is relevant to a healthy career development...
    but if the following matters:
    - flexible hours - most people don't show up to work before noon
    - benefits are above average
    - freedom to experiment - management lacks knowledge on what really works or don't work
    - not required to be an expert in anything to get far, just know how to pretend to be an expert
    - title booster --- titles are handed out based on who you know and what you know

    Cons

    - a company that has no real solutions expertise trying to sell solutions
    - management lacks focus and knowledge on all core business areas
    - half of the so called 'Senior Directors' and 'VPs' have no real strategic experience, but are merely overpaid coordinators and/or copywriters.
    - it is a common practice to over promise and under deliver (to both clients and employees)
    - incompetence and inefficiency are tolerated by upper management

    Advice to Management

Purge the management team and stop hiring incompetent people to be your directors and VPs. Just because someone who has 15 years of experience as a coordinator for some big company, that does not qualify them as a senior director for a strategic role; a copywriter is not a marketer; someone who only knows how to put together sub par PPT presentations shouldn't be promoted to VP; etc... you get my point

last advice.. show some respect towards your employees.
