    Pros

Nice coworker! Everybody is so nice and passionate

    Cons

Those people who work in the office is awesome. Lack of management. I sometimes think they don't know what they are doing.

I worked at Butterfly Effects part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The kids were great to work with

    Cons

I didn't feel like I had enough training and was thrown into the fire. After watching basic RBT training videos to get your RBT license, they had me begin to work with a client, expecting me to be an expert. Whenever I had a concern or question on how to deliver therapy it would get brushed over. Very unorganized

    Cons

Scheduling was a bit tough with frequent cancellations but that’s typical for this line of work.

I have been working at Butterfly Effects part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The BCBA’s are passionate and kind. The families are usually welcoming and warm and it’s rewarding work.

    Cons

The company expects us to provide, pay for, and prepare supplies for session. Technicians do not get paid outside of session for preparing materials. It’s also against “ethics” to ask the family to print materials for session. Also, we’re hired as part time employees and it is nearly impossible to maintain 30 hours per week to be eligible for benefits. There’s no guaranteed work because the family can cancel for any reason.

    Butterfly Effects Response

    President

Hello, I am sorry to hear you had a negative Butterfly Effects experience. Just to clarify: 1) The Behavior Technicians are the important people in the company. We reimburse all materials and mail pre-made educational materials upon request. 2) We supply PPE such as face covers. We have purchased and distributed hundreds of face covers to our staff and provided a $10 PPE stipend to each employee. You should have never had to purchase your own face over. Our COVID-19 mitigation strategies are best in the industry. 3) BE’s Behavior Technician rates are above the industry standard. Unfortunately, the reimbursements rates we receive this type of service are not exceptionally high. Again, I am sorry you had a negative experience. I dedicated to improving the Butterfly Effects experience and can be reached at steve.woolf@butterflyeffects.com. Dr. Steve Woolf

I worked at Butterfly Effects full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The RD in New Orleans is phenomenal and really supports the team.

    Cons

Corporate doesn’t always tailor their way of doing things to the specific market of services. They tend to go with a “one size fits all” method.... but it doesn’t.

I have been working at Butterfly Effects full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good benefits for full time employees. Get to work closely with your BCBA. Free supervision of you are trying to get your experience hours. Advancement and growth opportunities available. Free RBT certification. Flexible schedules.

    Cons

BCBAs have a huge caseload of 30+ clients each. Money seems like the main priority. They haven’t been giving us raises in the last 2 years even if we have met our billables consistently. Inconsistencies in policies and communication.
