I worked at CT Partners (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent company to do contract work for!

    Cons

None. This was a great company to do contract work for.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at CT Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits and pay. They had pride in the work they did and everyone was very professional

    Cons

Mismanagement and the "boys club" led to the downfall of the company. After the stock plummeted, they were sold.

    Advice to Management

It's irrelevant now, but they need to trust their employees with more autonomy. The top-down management stifled innovation.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Intelligent colleagues, stimulating environment, impressive client roster. There was a 'Camelot moment' for this company - excellent work was performed by outstanding people for influential clients. There was a time when the koo-aid tasted sweet...

    Cons

Unscrupulous leadership at the core...which led to the CEO being deposed and the company itself ceasing operations and declaring bankruptcy... that was alongside the hostile-takeover/acquisition tactics of the search firm out of Chicago that 'purchased' specific assets (i.e., international offices) to grow their presence.

    Advice to Management

Too little, too late... what a shame to see the company shatter, splinter, and fizzle out altogether.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at CT Partners full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunities to work on some exciting projects. Some of the consultants are top shelf, and have an impressive book of business.

    Cons

Some of the consultants, especially those from the older Christian & Timbers culture are completely self centered, selfish, about themselves, and lack any real sense of honesty and integrity. Booking and dumping of searches is far too common, and a 80pct completion rate is not something to go boast about.

    Advice to Management

Consider forcing out some of the legacy Christian & Timbers consultants that have in general been responsible for a lot of the bad behavior.
