They were amazing to work for!
Cons
Job was not full time.

Pros
As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst you are a salaried employee
Cons
Get ready for burnout. You will be worked to your limit and must advocate for yourself when your limit is reached. Lack of trust between management and in field personal. To be fair - I believe this is a common trait for companies in the field of ABA.

Pros
Manageable hours since the kids get out early and you get to leave soon after
Cons
Management doesn’t care if you feel comfortable in certain situations dealing with the kids. Training is minimum and it’s basically learning on the job

Poor Treatment of Employees and Clients

Great community of thoughtful young women
Cons
The company mistreats and manipulates the workforce of largely young women. They ask you to work outside of your hours and your driving radius. They have little regard for unsafe working conditions and treat the clients as interchangeable.

Very rewarding but very difficult!
Jan 7, 2020 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Very rewarding, kids are mostly fantastic and the improvement/interactions you see with these kids makes it worth while! These kids warm your heart and being an advocate for them and changing their lives will make anyone love this job. You also almost always have support in your classrooms which is VERY helpful.
Cons
Training makes this job seem easy breezy. I promise you it’s not. Even with tons of experience you are never fully prepared for this job. It is a fantastic and rewarding job and it fills your heart with love and the kids are mostly great and you grow to love them. However you are dealing with lower functioning kids with pretty severe behaviors most of the time which include hurting themselves and/or YOU! It can also be super overwhelming at times. Joining the school I could of only assumed what it would be like but they make it seem a lot easier and chill than it actually is (it’s not). The turn over rate is pretty bad, most people don’t stay there longer than a year if that and we are constantly understaffed. The pay should be a lot better for the amount of work you do but it is what it is. I’m not trying to scare you BUT I’m trying to be honest with what this job actually entails because no one else will.

Pros
I love this company so much. I have worked here for about 3 years and came from another company, so I have prior experience to compare to. The culture is so amazing and supportive. The directors are present and available when you need them. They provide great in-office training. Consultants and BCBAs have manageable caseloads, so they can provide effective treatment and support of RBTs. Pay is pretty good compared to other companies in the area. I love the company-wide "sightings" program that allows families and employees at all levels to give shout-outs to others. All data collection is done electronically. Necessary electronics are provided to everyone in management. I recommend this company to everyone. They give raises without you having to ask for them (RBTs especially). Love the annual party as well!!
Cons
It would be great if the in-office training could extend into the field, so that continuation of training does not fall on the shoulders of consultants and BCBAs. We need more schedulers. The company is getting too big to have one main scheduler. Lastly, this is an industry-wide issue, but the staff:client ratio is always off (i.e. too many clients, not enough RBTs). I understand wanting to serve as many kids as possible, but I dont think we should take on more clients when we can't serve the ones we have. It looks bad on us.

First Impression: Newly Hired (currently in 90-day introductory period)
Oct 25, 2016 - Behavior TechnicianRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
This company is extremely organized with their orientation and training (office or in the field). Highly professional within their policies and deliverance of ethics and job performances from all ends such as scheduling, training, and relationships with one another (supervisor to employee, employee to employee). They seem very empathetic as well from their policies of calling in. I've had bad experiences with other companies unable to understand employees run into mishaps and trouble pertaining to outside of work. Love their Open Door Policy, which encourages employees to come forward for any concerns to maintain a healthy and positive environment.
Cons
This company does take regulations of rule very seriously, and therefore, may seem extremely strict. Requesting time off may be difficult as there is a tedious process of, first, to be able to coordinate with clients and other employees to construct a plan to a make up of future hours canceled/rescheduled prior to time off, second, documents to fill out in regards to the time off, and third, then send the TOR document with the document of plan of making up the hours to then get approved. This company also required CPR certification but it wasn't so bad of a certification to earn when it comes to time and effort consumption in the training period.

Rewarding and stimulating productivity
Cons
Poor leadership from supervisors
Continue readingThank you for bringing this to our attention. At CAS, it is not acceptable for our supervisors to make any employee feel like they are not supported. If you would like to discuss this further, please call the office to schedule a meeting with one of the Directors. We appreciate all of the work you do for our clients, and we want to make sure your experience here is the best it can be.
