I worked at Capstone Logistics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Do to a high turnover, promotions in the company happen fast.

    Cons

Terrible culture throughout the region. Unstable pay (production pay), for all associates which creates instability, Contributing to the high turnover. 3PL that let's partners walk all over them. Too many grey areas within contracts. They grew too fast and are now spread way too thin. Hopefully 2017 will be a better year for them.

    Advice to Management

My advice to site managers is keep your issues in house as best as possible, because as soon as the partner starts emailing your director with issues, it's over for you. Tier2 and Tier3 sites still need supervisors. 1 guy cannot effectively run a site by himself no matter how small it is. Production paid leads with a small lead pay isn't enough to get the job done. It's not fair to lean on leads to do a supervisors job, when they have to unload trucks to make a desent weekly paycheck. This was suggested over and over again on my part, but they didn't allow it. Good Luck!!! There's too many better jobs out there with higher pay and less stress to get stuck working for Capstone logistics.

I worked at Capstone Logistics full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Flexible work hours and work from home
    Laid back work environment

    Cons

Pay does not match work expectations
    Very little chances for growth

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees what they deserve
Employees matter just like your customers
Most of your employees are unhappy but fake it.
Happy employees have better production. You wont have to hire a million people

    Pros

They teach u at a rapid pace how to in load the trucks and work as a team player. On top of that you have a very good chance to move up in your position to a lead.

    Cons

There is a 20min to 1:30hr. Waiting period especially during your slow season

    Advice to Management

You at least have to wait 5yrs to even begin the process for management

I worked at Capstone Logistics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Friendly and thats about it.

    Cons

Pulls you in with $13.50 an hour and a full-time 40 hour work week, but spend you home as early as 9am after only arriving to work at 6am. You might be getting $13.50 an hour but that doesn't go very far when your only getting 14-20 hours a week.

    Advice to Management

    Get your crap together.

I worked at Capstone Logistics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-You can make as much or as little as you want here, it just depends on how hungry you are! I was making as much as twenty dollars an hour after I got the hang of things.
-No bosses breathing down your neck all the time, they are there when you need them and give you your space when you do not.
    -Benefits, 401k options

    Cons

-Load distribution is unfair at times. More tenured guys get the better loads.
-Equipment is old and beat up, but that is a McLane issue, not Capstone.

    Advice to Management

Be careful of who you trust. Your best employees sneak and talk behind your back.
