I have been working at Cbr Systems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working hard to imrpove the culture and really trying to hold true the core values.
Company was acquired 2 years and some real improvements have been made even though there were some initial growing pains and there are a lot of great people to work with.
Fun activities for Lab Week, National Ice Cream month, etc. Offers outstanding benefits, stock options, and pay is deccent.

    Cons

The culture is still at risk and the parent company must continue to work to get buy in and be more transparent. Very top down organization but would go along way to occassionally work from the bottom up.

While the company does offer development opportunities a true program has not been defined and that may help to develop more talent from within.

    Advice to Management

Keeping working on openness, not everyone is comfortable asking questions and giving suggetions yet. It will happen if you continue to work at it.

I worked at Cbr Systems full-time

    Pros

Co-workers were fun and supportive, work environment clean and well-lit, direct supervisor very helpful

    Cons

Lofty sales goals that changed monthly, company was going through changes so frequent unexplained layoffs even for performing specialists, advertised warm leads only but had to explain who/what the company was a surprising amount of the time

    Pros

Company is trying to turn things around.

I worked at Cbr Systems full-time

    Pros

+ A fast-paced organization with a maniacal focus on continuous improvement.
+ After the PE acquisition of Cbr, the organization gained true leaders with relevant industry experience, a clear vision for the direction of the company, and a C-Suite with an open-door policy.
+ If you were willing to learn, grow, and work hard there were opportunities for advancement within, and outside, your department.

    Cons

    - Cbr stands for "Change Be Ready" and for most of my career there the organization was in a constant state of change which, under its original ownership, meant the left hand often wasn't talking to the right. While more changes were to be expected when Cbr was acquired by PE, at least the new management had a clear vision of the direction they were heading. Unfortunately, when Cbr was acquired a second time, there were monumental changes that haven't necessarily been for the better.
    - Unfortunately there were blatant cases of nepotism within the organization.

    Advice to Management

Be honest, transparent, and open to your employees, their ideas, and your clients. Your employees are your best asset and your clients keep the lights on.

    Pros

    Benefits, nice bonuses, free fruits

    Cons

location, management, incapable teammates. Current management team is incapable of holding any accountable. They were dishonest in depicting the true state of the work environment during the interview. After months of working with consultants, their work environment is still a mess. Everyone works in a silo. No respect for authority or teamwork. If you are up for banging your head against the wall and dealing with child like adults then go for a position in this company.

    Advice to Management

Please bring on people who can and prioritize and function as part of team. Your current management team is after establishing their own "greatness".

The billing system can confuse clients.
The client web portal can go down periodically, upsetting clients

Be more transparent with clients regarding systematic issues and updates

    Pros

You're making a difference for a newborn child

    Cons

Management micromanages everything you do. Too many personal relationships to be professional

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring friends and dating coworkers

  9. "Big pharma kils culture"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Atlanta, GA

    Pros

It was an amazing company before AMAG bought them.

    Cons

Bought by AMAG pharma. Killed CBR's wonderful company culture, and CBR became the red-headed step child. Plus, managed to create a commission plan impossible to attain any commissions. AMAG-doesn't always do what's best for the patient & for it's people.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your customers & employees. Get rid of Makena Care Connection, and lower list price of Makena-price gouging is not cool.

    Cons

Became a big company with little autonomy

    Listen to your clients
