I have been working at Chainalytics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Laid-back work environment, challenging projects, intelligent co-workers, better than average work-life balance, salary/promotion review every 6 months.

    Cons

Salaries are slightly lower than for similar positions at larger firms. The trade off for working at a smaller firm is that there are many more opportunities to advance within the company and also to interact with clients + the senior leadership team.

    Advice to Management

As the company continues to grow, make sure to maintain the firm's current culture & values.

Does not pay that well as compared other companies on the market

I worked at Chainalytics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

the co-workers are super nice, they provide snacks and is a collaborative environment

    Cons

people are overworked in the backend, the front end-sales personnel are more valued and receive more perks for half the effort.

    Advice to Management

invest in building a better bigger admin team, it will help all aspects and be more efficient in the long run

I have been working at Chainalytics full-time

    Pros

Hard workers, very intelligent people that want to push the envelope. Allows employees to try new projects / opportunities and flex some brain muscles.

    Cons

Not very diverse, very few women in senior level positions. As a firm that tries to differentiate itself from other consulting firms, there are still too many "old world consulting" cultural flaws.

I have been working at Chainalytics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Interesting projects and a very diverse base of clients. The company has great service offerings that span the end-to-end supply chain.

    Cons

Significantly under market salaries (20-30% lower). No annual review and no annual raises. Inability to attract and hire top talent as total compensation is too low. No training or education offered to new hires.

    Advice to Management

Stop changing the compensation model and implement an annual review/raise cycle.

I have been working at Chainalytics full-time

    Pros

Great management, open door and collaborative environment, helpful teammates.
Fast paced nature of work with constant challenges to keep you on your toes. Overall great company to work for!

    Cons

Can include frequent traveling, up to 80% depending on which team you're in. Compared to the market, salaries are rather low.

    Advice to Management

Providing a more competitive compensation package will help in retaining current employees as well as in recruiting new ones. Other than that, it's a great work culture for people to make a career.

I have been working at Chainalytics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Chainalytics is a growing company with plenty of opportunities for individuals to emerge as leaders. My experience is that Chainalytics' management respects work-life balance, especially for a consulting company. The work is very interesting, and you get to work with industry-leading, Fortune 500 companies across many industries. The culture is very positive - everyone seems to genuinely respect and enjoy working with one another. You will like your colleagues.

    Cons

No major cons. As is the nature of project-based management consulting, there can be periods of time where you are required to put in long hours to meet a deadline, but there is sincere effort by management to try to minimize these situations and avoid employee 'burnout'. Chainalytics can feel a bit like a federation of practice areas each with its own culture, rather than having a 'unified culture', but that is probably true of many consulting companies. Chainalytics needs to get better at coordinating sales opportunities across practice areas. Also, Chainalytics is for self-starters - not necessarily a 'con', but individuals who are not self-starters should look elsewhere. That said, there are plenty of very smart, accomplished people to learn from and collaborate with.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget that the Chainalytics brand is only as good as the people who deliver value to its clients, and that good people are easier to retain than to find / recruit.
