I have been working at Chartboost full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The work at this company is what you make it. If you work hard and have a strong desire to learn and contribute, you should find great satisfaction at the impact you can make and the amount of responsibility you can take on. There are some very smart and talented people working at this company and they seem to be the ones who have been around longest. In adtech, challenges arise all the time and decisions often need...

    Cons

We seem to have an addiction to doing 15 things at once, rather than having strict product & engineering focus and training the business team to stay within that focus.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to the % of resources are being put towards new products and engagements vs. simply improving current ones. Hire some sales engineers to help the business team decide what's feasible when it comes to tech before they say yes to something that doesn't exist and has to be built custom. Learn to say no and not see it as a lost opportunity but as a way of protecting your existing investments.

I have been working at Chartboost full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Nice perks, some talented coworkers, good work life balance. Used to be a delightful place to work.

    Cons

Upper management is clueless and not so transparent as they promised to be. Some smart and hard working people left while there are questionable hiring decision.

    Advice to Management

Make effort to keep talents rather than let them go.

    Pros

Great company to work for with many perks and working hours

    Pros

Great benefits and perks: flex PTO, free lunches, unlimited snacks, transit credit, fully paid medical and dental, cool events Everything is really well documented on their wiki page, so there’s opportunity to learn about different projects and build your knowledge base Great place to start your career in Ad tech

    Cons

Perception plays a big role in your success. If you don’t make your accomplishments known, no one will fight for you. If you’re not an agreeable person this won’t be the right fit for you. Management only wants yes men and they frown upon objectivity. Favoritism definitely plays a huge role in upward advancement and opportunities in this organization. Leadership tends to be absent most of the time. So if you want to...

    Cons

The cons I can think of is quite related to the nature of being a startup company rather than Chartboost itself. For example, the lack of documentation or fast-changing climate in the business.
