Pros

The organization’s mission is great, in theory. The job itself provides was easy to navigate.

Cons

This is the most low tech, rigid, and change management averse organization I’ve ever worked in. It feels like everyone is still operating in 1995. My first day I was shocked by 1. How depressing the office was (with mandated work in office requirements) 2. How unwilling team members were to even use cloud sharing, teams messages, or any other technology normally used in a functional environment. Teams are siloed and mismanaged, with the head of the communication department one of the most difficult, snarky people I’ve ever worked with. Management is gossipy and everyone knows about each others shortcomings. Their “small but mighty” mentality fails them constantly, with complete failure to modernize and make the work environment a fulfilling space. Not to mention an organization that has ZERO diversity.

Pros

Casual dress code, laid back atmosphere, friendly employees, Jewish holidays, good benefits

Cons

Micromanagement, be ready to have someone watching over you every little move you make; poor culture and and values, unprofessional, incompetent management completely careless of its employees, supervisors are completely left free to bully their employees as much as they want while the human resources only serves the company as a ornament, the concept of bridging the relationship between employees and supervisors is foreign to them. Employees are underpaid and have little to no opportunity of advancement.

Pros

Colleagues are very supportive; the mission is meaningful; lots of paid time off

Cons

Senior management is incompetent, negligent, and so busy offering favors to supporters that they undermine the mission. They should be jailed for intentionally overlooking ongoing fraud.
