Pros

Codility offers a beautiful fusion of Europe and the Americas. People here are generally creative and care about doing good in the world. I have never enjoyed my co-workers as much as I have here. That has shifted recently and I’m concerned.

Cons

Up until series A, we were getting beat by competitors quite frequently. It was a humbling time. Then came the funding. With the extra budget, the go-to-market team got an infusion of talent. The result was incredible. We grew revenue more during this time than all years prior. The company was buzzing. I expected the team to get recognition for their efforts. Instead, they seemed to be ignored and success got attributed to market conditions. Every single department head, middle manager, and even most ICs from this time are no longer here. It happened sooooo fast. I think it's important for our board to reflect on this. Was everyone wrong or is something wrong with a few people at the top that are too proud to admit their folly? Codility has gone from "no BS" to toxic positivity and feigned enthusiasm for every horrendously botched idea the CPO rolls out. Meanwhile, the CFO took over operations, sales, and marketing with no idea how they work. Unfortunately, that didn’t stop him from making demotivating and disruptive decisions that ground business down to levels not seen in years. So where has this gotten us? We had an incredible opportunity but now we're struggling. We had layoffs a few weeks ago. Two members of the executive team moved on in the last month. I'm worried about my job security. They'll probably attribute our failures to market conditions as well.

Pros

-A chance to contribute to a company that will be one of a few to define the industry. -Promotions are swift -Managers/executives that listen to your feedback -Company is always trying to Improve -Strong product -Something that is needed if you know how to represent and sell it.

Cons

-Company will listen to you but not act on it despite showing vast data to prove a point. -Leadership CEO and COO are very poor. -Not much work gets done in the Polish office, it's a cultural thing. -Company started to lay people off -Competition is eating them When you interview with the company they sound good, but they are never going to go any place. The CEO can't manage to get funding and the COO is kinda clueless. They often won't say what needs to be said because it hurts feelings and overall the company is getting hit hard by it's competitors. Company is not honest about customers and experiences a lot of loss. Codility has no enterprise play, at one point SMB and Enterprise started sharing leads. The company truly does not know how to grow an account, but this is not the "relationship developers " fault they just don't have good leadership. Most of the sales staff simply take orders rather than consultative sell.

Pros

-The team that still remains after the core team left are fun to be around -Rather flexible working from home vs going into the office if you live out of the city. -A good product overall with little issues. -Prospects can see value right away making sell-ability at a mid-market level good.

Cons

The company makes odd promotions with people that are under performing, and the leadership of sales wants to hire people that are not as smart as they are.Combined with her never being available and giving worthless conference call meetings a good sales person will find rather quickly the sales leader should not be in that position. Advice for interviewing, don't ask too many questions. The CEO is hardly every around, and the COO is clueless most of the time. They have no enterprise play. Got to the point where the leading enterprise rep left, and the other one has to split leads with the mid-market. They keep on talking about "funding, " but it's clear investors are staying clear. Marketing would not know what an MQL lead was if it flew in and hit them in the face. The company says they will "support you, " but the real problem is they don't know what real support is. If they had a BD manager that may help. They have no BD team because of Marketing and Sales not speaking the same message, and unfortunately, marking finds it not to be their responsibility to provide lead enrichment. Overall, on the surface, things looked promising, a lot of potential overall but with the current leadership team and a competitor taking the majority of business they probably won't last long. Don't join if you're looking for a long term company or a win in the end.
