Pros

Drink all day, if you want. Show up whenever you want. Join the Good ole boys club. If you like numbers this is all management cares about. No one gets treated better than Sales. Cafeteria upstairs.

Cons

There are no holidays unless you're in Sales, libel, denial and harassment are common. Clients are leaving left and right. They do not care about the clients only the numbers. Does not pay well. Just about any other company will pay more. No room for advancement. They will hire from outside first no matter how long you were there.

Feedback is vital and as the CEO, I take all of it – both good and bad – to heart. I seriously consider every review that is posted on this site. We completely understand that our success as an organization is predominately because of the employees that work for us; we value them and hope that their overall experience in our workforce is a positive one. When we receive reviews that are less than positive, we investigate the issues, respond to the review in order to provide additional perspective, and take action, when necessary, to improve in that area. Due to the defamatory nature of this review, it was tempting for me to go point by point through the topics mentioned and list rebuttals. It’s easy to dispute this review because every single thing this reviewer mentioned is absolutely and unequivocally false. Our employees aren’t allowed to drink all day, we have paid holidays or holiday pay for those that work a holiday, we pay competitively, and we often promote from within. Most importantly, we take any allegations of harassment seriously; we have a zero-tolerance stance on all forms of harassment. And finally, our customers are not leaving “left and right”, in fact, we have a customer retention rate of over 95%. Each item mentioned in this review is simply untrue. It’s extremely disappointing that someone is able to use Glassdoor as their forum to blatantly disregard the truth, misrepresent the facts, and disparage a company in a way that is potentially reputation damaging. It’s even more disappointing that our legitimate request to have this review removed due to these falsities was completely disregarded by Glassdoor because their management determined the posting to be “acceptable”. It’s clear that their criteria of what is “acceptable” is not the same criteria that we use to determine acceptable responses to any of our customers or employees. To have our concerns be disregarded and this review left posted leaves me questioning the credibility of Glassdoor and it should leave anyone that uses this site questioning the credibility of some of the reviews. -Al Lampe, CEO

Pros

Company offered Benefits and PTO days up front are nice. Great OPS team members/PEERS!! Some of the best! HR is very approachable.

Cons

Poor upper management leadership. Close to zero growth potential or real opportunities for advancement. There are some of the most transparent cliques in this company, very disheartening. Some of the lowest pay scales in the business, unless upper management. Pay scales are leveraged against "bonuses" that seem to never pay out as planned or promised. Hard work literally does not help pay out bonus plans. Extremely stressful environment at times (most), zero support from upper management, esp in Indy office. Very poor engagement from Senior leadership, act as if they do not have regard for the working folks who go through some very tough times. There is no attention from upper management for folks who are continuously over worked until it is too late and they get let go or quit. Management will literally let you sink before seeing opportunities to help. Very high Turn Over rate due to continued oversight addressing leadership issues and lots of dump and run projects. NO WORK LIFE BALANCE - don't even ask.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I would encourage you to reach out to me directly so I can better understand your comment around low pay scales and poor upper management. At Comm-Works, we know that it is our employees that drive our success and thus it is a standard practice to ensure that all of our employees are paid competitive wages in regards to the market. We strive to employ top talent at Comm-Works and seek both within and externally to ensure that we have the right people in the right places. I do want to point out that we have many opportunities for advancement both from a promotional perspective (we are continuously working on developing structured career paths) and from a knowledge perspective. We have many individuals that have been promoted and even some who have completely changed career directions. We also recognize that as a project-based company, the workload and corresponding stress levels can be high at times. Which is why we strive to be considerate of the need for work/life balance while also ensuring we are meeting customer needs. It’s important to me that we continue to be more innovative in the ways we help our employees through the busier times, which is why we are continually looking at continuous improvement options around our processes and software systems to drive better efficiency across the board. Thank you, Al Lampe, CEO

Pros

Many colleagues were pleasant and helpful. CEO is a nice guy, but rarely in the office.

Cons

Covid-19 layoff was definitely an opportunity for managers to make vindictive choices and retained individuals who should have been terminated a long time ago. Upper management is very rigid, not open to any suggestions, and always protects their friends and favorites.
