I have been working at Commerce Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Upward mobility ! There are people who get hired and within 3 months are promoted to management . This is great because most people think that you can’t move in banking, well commerce changed that . I love that you can really develop your career here with a great team to support you

    Cons

No cons we have recently changed the way we do banking making everyone universal so just because someone is a manager, it doesn’t mean they won’t be on the teller line or opening accounts . Everyone shares the same responsibilities no matter what level they are in the organization.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work

    Pros

    Nice people.
    Offer nice tuition reimbursement.

I worked at Commerce Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits for non-entry level positions

    Cons

Politics over people. Yes men over thinkers. No room for advancement unless you want to kiss up and play the game. Very superficial. Management has no backbone. Slow to make decisions. What decisions are made can easily be changed based off a change in politics. Concerned about appearances. Company brags about how great they are doing, but offers raises that are a slap in the face. They promote people who will play the game, not do what is right.

    Advice to Management

Maybe try practicing what you preach?? Do what’s right, not what’s easy. Make a decision and stick to it.

    Pros

time off is earned per pay period , you are paid current meaning if you start on the second week of payroll, you'd expect to get half of a paycheck, nope! youll get a full paycheck, its almost like they assume you are going to work the next week, no they dont take it back if you didnt work the full week.

    Cons

employees arent embracing the universal change
