    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Criterion Systems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, not a lot of "interference/static" from corporate HQ

    Cons

Standard issues working away from HQ

    Advice to Management

Get a full-time Criterion HR person out here and have them facilitate communications, especially about functions & benefits. One that helps all Criterion employees, not just from one section.

    Pros

Great insurance benefits, provides STD and LTD, acknowledges 10 paid holidays, small company but provides ability to network.

Is a contract with the military so can be held to military requirements rather than Criterion Handbook. Not much upward movement unless willing relocate.

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

I worked on a small team. It was a good place to start my career after the military. The project manager was always there to help if you need.(via phone she worked a far way away)

    Cons

Would not waive education assistance when I left even though I had done 11 of the 12 months and the class was for my Job.

    Pros

This is a great company with enormous potential, managed and founded by some of the industries top-notch executives. There has been several rough patches but as of late, many of those are in the past. Company has recently been awarded numerous multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts.

    Cons

Actual project and contract execution is sometimes less than desirable. Some executives and management are given miles of rope (and compensation) with which to develop business with little to no return.

    Advice to Management

Regardless of contracts won, potential business on the horizon or lavish promises from partners, maintain focus on the most important asset of the company, its employees.

    Pros

Criterion has offered one of the most amazing and learning experience. The environment is always exciting and positive. Everyone is just so helpful and wonderful to be around.

    Cons

Definitely need more chocolate in atmosphere! There's absolutely nothing I can think of. Oh wait! Sometimes the day is over before you know it.

    Advice to Management

    Excellent job!

I worked at Criterion Systems full-time

    Pros

Company was small; easy to work with management personnel. Great overseas health plan; also matched previous contractor's benefits.

    Cons

Recruiter sent unqualified personnel for interviews. Due to hiring slot openings, management pressed for hiring unvetted employees, which wasted time and money.

    Advice to Management

READ resumes which have been submitted; do your homework when filling contract requirements. Listen to your incumbent employees.
