    Pros

Pay is comparable to other companies. Training is good. Bunch of great people to work with. Shop is always clean and well maintained

    Cons

Work flow is very slow. Customers are very picky about their vehicles. Healthcare is very expensive. Very limited opportunities for raises.

    Advice to Management

Management is great. The issue is corporate. If corporate would listen to their employees, many of the cons would not exist.

I worked at Crown Auto Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you had no experience they'll hire you on the cheap, manager could be bullied into tailoring your work. You could goof off hard, like 70s style most of the time.

    Cons

Old, unclean building, not great pay, embarrassingly bad management, no accountability, good old boy BS masquerading as a modern corporation.
Mislead as to promotion possibilities, strung along.
Cutthroat, blame anything you can think of problem solving. Don't work here unless you're fresh out of jail and need to restart. Not a career like they advertise.

    Advice to Management

I think it's a systematic problem, hire outside consultants to clean house. Advising management is pointless, they had 3 managers in 2 years while I was there. Department manager was afraid people were after his job, would get emotional if problems were brought up. Funny stuff.

I have been working at Crown Auto Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Though at times there may be 70+ employees at each store, you get to know each and everyone of them.

    Cons

Coming up on 5 years of employment and so far, NOTHING to complain about!

    Advice to Management

From what I observe, I can see you have a lot on your plates; just make sure to touch base with each employee as often as you possibly can! All managers are very professional which I respect fully.

I worked at Crown Auto Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get to drive cool cars. Master Techs make great hourly. Sales is good commission if you've been there a while.

    Cons

Where to begin. Crown automotive is a horrible company. Benefits are sub-par though they try to make you think they are great because they are SLIGHTLY better than average nationally. The sales and service departments don't work as teams and aren't set up to. --which is great when a salesman guarantees a loaner car ANYTIME a customer gets service done! That never happens for routine maintenance or any small job. Stop lying to your customers! All it does is make an angry customer the service side now has to go the extra mile to make happy. Angry customers give service providers bad reviews! The sales staff in general are terrible. They fulfill every bad stereotype of a used car salesman. The GM could care less. All the dealership cares about is moving product end of story. They mistreat a lot of the lower staff members; Porters, Detailers, reception.. you name it.

    Advice to Management

Care about all of your employees. Treat people with respect. Act mature. Stop only caring about the bottom line. The customers can tell employees are unhappy!

I worked at Crown Auto Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Over 10 years in the car business and this was the worst group I've ever worked for. The only pro is, you will realize very quickly that this isn't a dealer group you want to work for.

    Cons

The insurance is absolutely terrible. Most salespeople can't begin to tell you how their pay plans are calculated. Hourly draw of minimum wage, sell some cars or you actually OWE the dealership for them 'allowing' you to come to work each day. This is 2015, stop asking your salespeople to work 60+ hour work weeks. Turnover is an embarrassment. They claim to have the best training in the business, that's a joke. If they tell you that they rarely open Sunday's, it's a flat out lie. Do yourself a favor and find another dealer group to work for.

    Advice to Management

You're an embarrassment, you really wonder why customers and employees have no loyalty towards you. You know the 40 hour work week you all work? You know how you NEVER work Sunday and Rarely work Saturday? Try letting the rest of your employees enjoy that too sometimes. The nearly 60 hour schedule and draw pay plan are out dated. Get a new insurance carrier because UnitedHealthcare plan you have now is AWFUL.

    Pros

The Manager was very nice and I liked the majority of people I worked with.

    Cons

Low pay considering what the cars sell for. I made $150 off a $90,000 car sale....

    Advice to Management

Come up with a better pay scale.
