I have been working at DaDa part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    This job is very rewarding
Excellent source of supplemental income and very fun!

    Cons

It is hard to say goodbye to your regular students when they choose another teacher and it breaks my heart when I can't see them anymore.

I have been working at DaDa part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is fun. You make the lesson fun for the kids. They are adorable kids!

    Cons

You wake up super early. You must have great internet connection and reliable equipment. If you do not check your equipment beforehand, you might unintentionally lose a student booking.

I have been working at DaDa part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have been a teacher at this company for over a year. For the most part, they are a great company. They pay is good and the students attentive.

    Cons

Management needs to toughen up. They seem to have 50% of the people doing 100% of the work. Half of the staff just pass you over to the next person over simple things like getting your photos looked at and approved/disproved.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the lazy staff and move on.

I have been working at DaDa part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They book for you and provide materials.

    Cons

I was fined 10% of my monthly salary for taking time off when my grandma died.
I was fined last month for taking time off with a doctors note.
The fines are out of control. The other company I work for pays much better and is more flexible.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at the other companies out there. You have teachers advising other teacher against working for Dada.

"If you're sick - not only do they not pay you for that day but they fine you :( Unethical"

I have been working at DaDa part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a legitimate gig. The works happens and you get paid and they really do try and set you up for success.

    Cons

I had a serious surgery in October and one of the strange side effects was that I would wake up for the following two months and randomly my face would be super swollen. I ended up calling out 4x in a month but still worked 17 days (total of 42 hours) only to see that my pay that month was $145...I couldn't believe it. I basically worked for 3 dollars an hour because I didn't know that you get "fined" for calling in sick.

    Advice to Management

You can't "fine" people for calling in sick. Especially since you have teachers on stand-by. People aren't robots and you can't punish them for being human. Seeing my paycheck at merely $145 after 17 days of work was just cruel. So cruel that frankly I don't want to work for a company that punishes someone for being sick.

I worked at DaDa part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

None since new owners took over late 2018.

    Cons

Draconian enforcement of rules, penalties left right a cnetre, no real support or encouragement, they removed reward points Amazon vouchers without even bothering to explain to staff, new owners from late 2018 are bleeding the business model dry without reinvesting anything.

    Advice to Management

    Beyond help now.

I worked at DaDa part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

None except the students. Most of whom are kids caught in the middle of Dada's insane inflexible dishonest policies and marketing B.S. Also do not believe the so called positive posts here. They have probably been written by current Dada staff.

    Cons

Too many to list. But one BIG con is that even when Dada is closed for their Chinese holidays, they STILL fine the teachers and take pay deductions for Dada's time off, not the teachers leave. When you pont this out to them using dada's pay history and MATH, dada tells you its not a deduction when clearly it is.

    Advice to Management

Either start being honest and restore the bonuses and stop the pay deductions, or the teachers will continue to quit and resign in droves as they have been since December 2018 when Dada turned to DOODOO

I have been working at DaDa full-time

    Pros

You get paid on time usually

    Cons

You get fined for anything, they do not care about any of their teachers
