I have been working at DaDa part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Company is open to comments, opinions, suggestions and response to requests for assistance is pretty quick considering the time difference. Pay is on time, but I guess the location of others and their payment method might cause some delays. (only my opinion) Pay is good if students show up to class. They announce upcoming holidays so you can add some extra hours before hand to try and make up for the cancelled classes during the holiday. During the lessons, if anything goes wrong with course ware or internet connection problems , just click on the help button and IT will be on it quite quickly. Most children are awesome and parents helpful. Its a fun and fulfilling job for me. I love teaching at DaDa, but its hard during these times. Its hard for the whole world.

    Cons

This messy virus has really lowered the number of students. I am sure all companies are trying to save money here and there to make up for those losses. I have less kids at the moment, but I am sure with time it will pick up again. I need to remember to save for taxes!!! But that is my responsibility. Children are switched to other teachers without prior notifications, so we can't say goodbye or find out why they switched or were switched. I would like to be told why, so I can improve in that area and not lose another student.

    I worked at DaDa part-time

    Pros

When I started 2 years ago there were many Pros including a good hourly salary, and lots of nice students.

    Cons

When I quit in June 2020 things had seriously changed at DaDa the last few months. First, the hourly salary they are advertising for new teachers is not accurate. You used to be able to make what they advertise but no longer. Students have left DaDa in droves, teachers were no longer getting students, and DaDa was even doing some shady practices like blocking teachers schedule so parents couldn't see them. The company is obviously going through something. Just be aware if you decide to join them.

I have been working at DaDa part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You have the opportunity to get reassigned the same student every week.

    Cons

Lowering salaries by 25% or more just because they want to for employees that have worked for them for 3+ years. Terrible courseware. The courseware is really not worth looking at. Lack of communication and answering legitimate complaints.

I worked at DaDa part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Flexible location, great IT support!

    Cons

Pay scheme changes constantly! It's frustrating to wonder every last week of the month whether you will be paid in full or not.

Current Employee - Online English Teacher in San Antonio, TX

I have been working at DaDa full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I have enjoyed my experience with Dada overall. My students are wonderful. I teach 5-15 years old. Many of my students have blossomed and have jumped one grade level in 9-12 weeks' time. Most of my regular students have 2-4 classes with me each week.

    Cons

They have cut our pay and our incentives.
