A very slippery stepping stone.

Pros

Amazing location. Easy commute/close to Metro. Health benefits. Beautiful office. Helpful coworkers. Culturally diverse environment. Pet-friendly. Casual dress code. Good stepping stone.

Cons

Below average compensation. High expectations with little to no training. Management claims company is larger than it is. Outsourcing majority of contracts to other countries. Little to no empathy, compassion or respect towards employees. The profit is the only goal. Extremely high turnover of employees. The lifetimers here are the only ones who are valued. Owners can be arrogant and unprofessional. Management is not your friend - despite a superficial attempt at being one.

Pros

Awesome team (excluding "management"), you'll make some great friends

Cons

They have no idea what they're doing. They don't know how to manage a team and they don't know how to manage a business. President is supposed to be knowledgeable in marketing but he has no clue. Vice president has no people skills and does not know how to properly talk to her employees. They constantly change their minds about how they want things done and then get mad at you when you can't keep up with their ever-changing ideas. They're not organized. They pay their employees as little as they can get away with - that's why they hire people who are new to Canada or who have just graduated university. yet, they expect you to go above and beyond and work overtime and do more than your role calls for, but when you ask for a raise it's not warranted in their eyes.
