Direct Commerce is solving a real problem in AP automation with a differentiated take, real customers, and a clear roadmap. Roles aren't rigidly defined, which means ownership is there for the taking if you bring ideas and do the work. Flexibility and work-life balance are both solid.
Cons
Like any company at this stage, some processes are still being built out. If you need everything to be perfectly systematized before you can do your job, it might feel uncomfortable at first. But if you're comfortable with some ambiguity and like building things, that's actually part of the appeal.
