Pros

15Five has made strategic decisions over the recent years that is creating focus for employees, positive outcomes for customers, and increasing results for the business. 15Five is investing heavily in a product that helps companies understand how their people are doing, and take actions that actually move the needle forward. The recent acquisition of Kona (AI Coaching for Managers) powered by the rich performance, engagement, and people data in 15Five’s data intelligence platform is supporting customers in achieving their goals in new and compelling ways. This momentum is manifesting more and more in the culture and the people internally are embracing a winning mindset. This is a culture of people that care a lot about each other, high care for people and performance. If you are considering working at 15Five and are someone who wants to grow in your career and make an impact at the forefront of innovation, 15Five can be a great place for you. I’ve worked here 5+ years and have grown a ton along the way.

Cons

Like most startups navigating all of the challenges in the economy and evolving technology, there is a lot of change. You have to be adaptable and resilient. It’s a lot of work and 15Five has had to make hard decisions over the recent years, but I believe it has been for the best and the tides are now starting to turn in a positive way.

Pros

1. Well meaning, very transparent leadership team. The leadership team at 15Five knows they need to practice what they preach, especially if we're going to shape how the best HR teams design and manage best-in-class employee experiences. They're not always right and they make mistakes, but I've seen humility and a dedication to getting it right. 2. Highly skilled teammates that care a lot. I've really enjoyed working with my teammates here and I feel like folks are really skilled, values-driven, and excited by the mission. I'm learning a lot every day from people I deeply admire. 3. I really love the work that I get to do here! I'm a nerd for organizational psychology and People stuff, so it's sweet to work on products that help innovative HR leaders and teams do their best work.

Cons

1. Heavy meeting culture. It's a bit typical for a remote company of this size and stage, but there are quite a few meetings to juggle and it can be difficult to make time for deep work. That being said, my coworkers have been very respectful of work-life boundaries. 2. A bit siloed at times, but working on it. Sometimes it can feel like different camps are isolated from one another, especially when things get busy. I can see this being part of start-up growing pains though.

Pros

I met some of the most kind, smart, and hard-working people working here. Pay is good and benefits are good.

Cons

Leadership here is just terrible. Last year they made a whole department "reapply" for their jobs, this year they got rid of a bunch of people and made huge structural changes again. There is no stability here or any semblance of strategy. As a company that focuses on HR, they do not even use their own platform in the way they are trying to get their customers to use it. They are going to tell you how much potential and exciting stuff is coming up, but don't fall for it.
