Pros

Review for ADP: Note: This review pertains to only Pune office. I am not aware of Hyderabad office. I am dividing review on the basis of subject areas: 1) Technicality: All good technical work is either done at Hyderabad or outside India. All support work (Call center tasks), Payroll processing, testing and other manual tasks are done at Pune which doesn't require many skills. If you have a developer background, I strongly suggest not to join this organization. Testers can try their luck here as you will be overpaid for the work here. 2) Management: Managers are namesake. They have no idea how to handle teams. Team politics is at extreme. Since lot of powers are bestowed in managers, boot licking is a very common practice here. If you have an ounce of self-respect, don't join this company. If you think you can manage this situation, lots of scope for your growth. 3) Long term commitment: ADP is a true employee friendly company. If you are looking for career growth and learning, ADP is not the right place. If your priority is stability, work life balance, chill out workplace, you can consider joining this company since lots of employee friendly policies are in place like free cab (for all shifts), lots of stupid days to celebrate (they keep you engaged), medical premium is paid by company on your behalf, free club facilities (Gym, swimming pool), child support facilities for working women. Newly wed couples on their anniversary can avail yearly visits to Westin/JW Marriot etc. places on company's expense. So ADP is committed to making your stay awesome. 4) Company Vision on future growth: ADP is a giant company. Everything is pretty much already made. No new things are happening. Most probably you will be doing small maintenance tasks if you are lucky. Company doesn't mind paying you for doing absolutely nothing (Well that is also changing. ADP recently fired a lot of people across different roles because of automation). This observation is across majority projects at ADP Pune. 5) General mindset of people: ADP projects less attrition rate as a token of employee happiness. Actually people are comfortable here in the beginning, spend considerable time enjoying facilities, learning absolutely nothing. In the end, incompetency takes grip of the situation and you are no longer employable. Your net worth is absolutely nothing and you are no longer able to switch job. So you stay in ADP for longer duration and that only worsens the situation. My immediate lead is 10 years experienced and he doesn't know how to insert SmartArt in PPTs. I had to come to his rescue for this which was quite embarrassing for me. 6) HR Department: Full of arrogant good for nothing people. Extremely judgmental sort of people who thinks they can evaluate someone's tech skills better than actual tech guys. Have come from some stupid MBA colleges but height of attitude is unbelievable. 7) Salary: ADP is overall a good pay master. But something different happened this year. While hiring, HR will tell you that ADP always pays 100% variable amount of your CTC but this time people got 50% to 90% payouts. So keep this in consideration while negotiating with HR. 8) Onsite opportunities: Absolutely no to that. In extremely rare chances only. ADP may sound appealing to lots of people but believe me this company is not at all worth its hype. For fresher’s/mid-level experienced people, this place is a strict no. For managers/working women etc., good place to work as stress level and work load is mostly minimal. This is my assessment of the situation. Yours may be different. Please take your decision wisely and consult other sources as well. Best of luck :-) Other people viewing this review, please upvote it if you agree or find it useful.

Pros

Resume Gold! Having the name on your resume opens doors because people know you can survive a high-volume, high-complexity environment. That’s where the benefits end.

Cons

Pay: It’s a joke. They expect specialized, expert-level work and deep tax knowledge for a base salary that is way below the market. They use the big name as an excuse to underpay you. Work/Life Balance: You are never truly off. To hit the impossible quotas, people are forced to work off the clock just to keep up. Management knows this is the only way the work gets done, but they look the other way so they don't have to address the workload. Management: They are manipulative and not leaders. Instead of helping with the workload, they use moving goalposts and vague promises of growth to keep you running. There is no advocacy for employees. Make sure to get everything in writing. Some get amnesia. Quantity over Quality: It’s a sweatshop for data. You’re forced to rush through complex setups just to hit a Go-Live count to appease Sales. Accuracy is key, but it often takes a backseat to volume, which is a nightmare for anyone who cares about doing the job right. No Room to Grow: There is no real way to move up. ADP is a lateral move company, and that’s only if your management doesn’t stand in your way and prevent you from leaving for another internal team.
