      Pros

      Dan Amos led the company to greatness, and has the philosophy that if you take care of your employees they will take care of the business. Aflac does have a family atmosphere and a small company feel. The bonus program and Employee Appreciation week are both excellent.

      Cons

      Aflac is not so kind to new executives and has a low tolerance for mistakes. Departments are constantly restructured and the culture is a very deferential one which punishes independent thought and outspokenness.

      Pros

      Freedom to be your own boss, trips, bonuses, renewable income (instead of one time commission), career instead of just a job. FORTUNE 500 and a World's most Ethical Company. Great training (at least here in Wyoming) and a family mentality. Great family/work balance.

      Cons

      No base pay, can be a slow start at first, you have to be very organized and self-driven, have to be licensed in life and health to sell insurance (but my management help with the process).
