Great career launchpad, but physically demanding work - Fullfillment Associate Amazon Employee Review

Pros

This is arguably the best reason to be there. If you want to be a nurse, a truck driver, or a software dev, Amazon will basically pay for your school after you've been there a few months. A lot of people treat the warehouse as a temporary "launcher" to a better career.

Cons

You don't need a gym membership. You’re going to be sore for the first two weeks while your body adjusts to being on its feet for 10 hours. Once you get past that "hump," the physical nature of the work can actually feel rewarding to some—you’re moving, not staring at a spreadsheet

Pros

Really smart people, a lot of opportunity for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and 4 legged friends are welcome.

Cons

You have to be self motivated. NO ONE will hold your hand and tell you that you're doing a great job. If you need constant affirmations from management, this company isn't for you.
