      1/ Pay is competitive 2/ Looks good on a resume 3/ You can move around internally after 1 year 4/ Lots of smart people work at Amazon 5/ Dogs are allowed 6/ Good for engineers out-of-school

      Cons

      1/ No work life balance 2/ Hostile environment rewards bullies 3/ Limited development or advancement options for older employees 4/ Managers have no checks and balances 5/ You can get terminated for "made up" reasons (at-will employment), likely before your RSUs vest 6/ HR supports managers, not employees

      I got paid weekly, there was a $2 premium for night shifts.

      Cons

      The only con was the 2 hour commute to and from work.

      Pros

      Really smart people, a lot of opportunity for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and 4 legged friends are welcome.

      Cons

      You have to be self motivated. NO ONE will hold your hand and tell you that you're doing a great job. If you need constant affirmations from management, this company isn't for you.
