Your better off at McDonald's - Inbound Stower Amazon Employee Review

I worked as a stower for the Euclid, OH location. It was the quickest position I could get due to being laid off because of Covid. Never again. 6 months of absolute misery. Walking into traffic would be better. They give you unrealistic expectations to meet. They want you to stow items within 10 seconds, but you can't stack, and you need to get at least 10 items per pod. But your instantly set up for failure if you only have big items which happens all the time. And working the later shift you have no choice but to stack because every pod is filled by the time it gets to you. Then you have a supervisor come over to you every other shift asking you why aren't you stowing faster or more items in the pods. And the supervisor are a joke. The first 2 months I found out I was going to the wrong floors because I didn't know who my supervisor was. They don't introduce themselves until they say you did something wrong yet after every break they want you to rate how they are helping and supporting you. They're not! Also if there is no work in the building for your position, instead of offering the voluntary time off they say exists, they'll have you clean even though they have a fully staffed cleaning team and thats not your job. Because they seem to forget that they should prioritize the people who are there to work their actual full shift instead of giving those stations to those working non-mandatory overtime. Why offer all the overtime when you don't have enough stations!?
