Pros

AmEx is an okay place to work. The benefits package is highly competitive, covering everything from health insurance to retirement plans. It's noteworthy that the work culture demands high performance, which drives a dynamic and motivating environment. The company is also deeply committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring the workplace is welcoming and celebrates varied perspectives.

Cons

There are also some challenges to consider. The competitive work environment, while motivating, can sometimes lead to high stress and demands on employees, which won't suit everyone. Additionally, the high-performance culture creates intense pressure to meet targets, potentially impacting work-life balance. Also, navigating a highly bureaucratic structure to get simple things done is required from time to time. These factors are important to weigh if you're considering a career at American Express.

Pros

They have fantastic pay for the position you're in, and they teach you interesting and engaging utility of modern technology mixed with legacy fundamentals. I've learned quite a bit while AmEx while getting paid more than fairly - I'd recommend a stretch here to whomever may be reading this!

Cons

The Company is huge, and at times it may take more than a little time to get recognized for your abilities and the growth you've had. There's a reason there is a "only way up is out" reputation exists for some enterprise companies...
