Pros
Good for your CV and benefits, stocks, ticket restaurant.
Cons
Micromanagement at its worst. You join with high expectations because you expect the workforce to be smart, well-trained, and highly skilled — but the reality, at least in Spain (95% of the stores), is very different. Promotions are not based on performance but on visibility and whether you “play the game.” Even if your results are poor, as long as you get along with managers, you will be promoted. The micromanagement goes so far as to timing bathroom breaks, which has created a toxic environment where many employees struggle with anxiety and mental health issues. The commission system is also unfair — you don’t actually get paid based on what you sell, which is very demotivating. Overall, definitely not worth it.
