Pros

a) Free snacks in the pantry. b) Hard working colleagues c) Friendly environment

Cons

a) Does not compensate professionally or financially for the hard workers! Only the senior staff is appreciated and the rest are undermined. b) Broken or non-existent performance and feedback system! We would love criticism/appreciations at regular levels. And also there is absolutely no way of grading senior staff. c) Illogical target/goals set - punitive action against you for badly set targets d) Some of the best employees are leaving (mostly already left) and the company makes hardly any effort to retain them. To top that, it does not make any efforts to make life easier for the current employees either. Motivates one to leave themselves. e) Very bad team management. Goals shift left and right. Yes, in an agile world that is expected, but if you constantly put months of hard work into trash, it becomes annoying and demotivating. f) In terms of guidance and learning there is NONE g) The schedule and targets will not let you improve your technology skillset, especially for the self driven enthusiasts. h) You are given insane deadlines which will suppress your creative thinking and worthy ideas. i) Appraisals are really pathetic which is expected because the reporting manager has absolutely no idea about your work and getting a review only once in a year does not do justice to the hard work that you have put in throughout the year. j) You often get typical managerial answers when you try to escalate issues to manager or senior staff. Bottomline, pointless complaining as no one is going to listen to you anyways.

Pros

Autodesk has, hands down, one of the warmest and most supportive corporate cultures I’ve ever experienced. From day one, people were welcoming, respectful, kind, and genuinely available to help. Even as a contract worker, I never felt like an outsider. I felt included, trusted, and treated like part of the team. The marketing team was an incredible group: collaborative, smart, generous with their time, and always willing to answer questions. Autodesk also has a true teaching culture. You never feel silly for asking questions, and there is a clear willingness across teams to help people learn, improve, and succeed. Operationally, the company was also impressively efficient. The technology, meeting tools, scheduling systems, and general workflows made it easy to connect with people, set appointments, collaborate, and keep work moving without unnecessary friction. Overall, Autodesk set the bar for what a healthy corporate culture can feel like: organized, human, respectful, inclusive, and genuinely collaborative. Pros: Warm culture, helpful people, strong tools and technology, respectful teams, inclusive environment, great marketing organization.

Cons

As a contractor, I only wish the experience had been longer.
