Good pay, great for telecommuting, limited opportunities for promotion and advancement - Senior Manager Avaya Employee Review

Very difficult to get promoted. Unless you have an advocate pushing for you, you are on your own. VP's often have no real understanding of projects they manage. Work gets delegated down until ultimately only the folks at Manager and Senior Manager level are the ones getting anything done. The company has gone through massive layoffs over the past 2 years and there are reorg's every 6 months. It is impossible to feel that there is any job security in an environment like this.
