Pros
BD has been an incredible company to work for- I've met some wonderful people, and have tremendous respect for the core values and what BD stands for. This is a company that actually practices what they preach- it's so refreshing. I come to work everyday and feel that I am being challenged and growing personally and professionally. I feel like my opinions and ideas are valued.
Cons
There is a lot of room to build efficiency within the company- some of the processes are decades old, and I'm not complaining about this because the reason is that you have a LOT of employees who have been with the company for 30-40 years. There are times when I come across a process that makes absolutely no sense, but it sticks because that's the way it's always been. So, while there is work to do reinvent certain processes and eliminate some of the inefficiencies in the business, it's a privilege to know and work with so many loyal employees that know the roots of the business and it's values.
