Pros

Good on CV. In the top 100 companies in the world because of turnover.

Cons

Joke of a business. No one ever knows what's going on. Lots of admin even for small stuff like 10-20k buys. Love to hire new graduates as they are cheap and get them slogging hours. No consideration for people who have a family life. Managers easily expect you to do 10 hours everyday. They get you to sign an long hours waiver form when you join so you can't complain later. In the UK they always go begging to the MOD for more money even though they ship saved money off to the US. You only succeed in the company if you work like a donkey for 4-5 years. Training only given to folks who will work like donkeys. Common sense approaches don't work as they love to make things complicated so they can get more money out of the MOD.

Pros

Fantastic benefits and work-life balance. 401k match is unmatched!

Cons

Easy to get pigeon-holed into a role. Try exploring ways to stay pro-active and do different things

Pros

Easy going, nice benefits, free further education (masters/PhD). Great for an engineer starting out who needs to dip their feet in the pool of engineering for a few years and to get a great 401(k) match at the start of your career (compounding growth). Great for late stage career due to the benefits and solid enough pay in a low cost of living area

Cons

pay-scale lagging, no emphasis on learning new things, no punishment for people who are bad at their job. After working for 4 years, I feel like I should have jumped ship after 2. I haven't been given meaningful work that really challenges me in a while. Now I feel pigeonholed into staying because I have enough years of experience that I really should be considered senior, but I haven't been given work that reflects what I senior engineer should be capable of. Now I'm trying to jump ship before it's really too late. If I stay here another 2 years I think I will be genuinely unemployable and will have to stay at this company forever.
