Pros
Nice people, small company so you can own your work, nice vacation policy.
Cons
Absolutely no career movement (be happy with the level you come in at because chances are you will not move regardless of how much additional responsibility you take on), low pay comparable to other companies in the area, little work flexibility re: working from home (still think work must be done at your desk), do not promote from within. Anyone coming in should know that in order to be promoted you must go through MAP which requires 1) presentation to senior leaders about your CarMax resume 2) series of behavorial interviews and 3) a case. You have to be invited to MAP and cannot apply for open positions above your level if you are not MAP certified. Ridiculous considering behavioral interviews are an indicator of potential behavior for the unkown - and as a current employee you have a track record to stand on. This is why it is harder to get promoted than to get the initial job - it takes less hurdles to come in the door then it does to move up
