Pros

The people you actually work with! Customers are the biggest babies in the world, and the job would not be as bad if that was the only thing you have to deal with. Some cool clothes to wear....that's about it

Cons

Again customers are the biggest babies in the WORLD! and it wouldn't be that bad if that was the only thing to deal with, but you have managers who abuse the litte bit of power that they have. You are afraid to ask them anything becasue one day they can be cool and i use that term loosely and the next they can be little girls. Every single one of them have their little things they are known for, the buyers make it hard to do your job too because they may appraise a 2010 BMW 325i for about..15 dollars and look at you like your crazy when the customer doesn't want to sell the car!!! Nothing is ever promised at carmax including your pay, since the doors opened the pay has stayed at 150 a car, carmax opened in 1993 by the way. As I remember being promised that you can make so much money here, after my year and a half I quickly learned that it turned into "you can make a lot of money if you sell 10,000 cars a day! This company is fantastic for finding and hiring people in management that exemplify rudeness, back-stabbing, and eventually destroy the company, the only way you can become a manager in sales is if you make President's club first, that will give them enough time to decide if you will rule with an iron fist..."That's the carmax way!"

Pros

Remote work, first 2 weeks of the 2 month training, offers sick time before PTO rolls in

Cons

Little to no worklife balance, toxic positivity (like when they called the meeting about taking away our bonuses “exciting news” and tried to gaslight us as to why this was a good thing), extreme micromanagement, listening to our headsets constantly without us knowing, AI rating our metrics, unrealistic expectations, you basically do 4 jobs in one (at Carvana, appraisals / selling, financial applications and documents / EPUs, sales and customer service were ALL DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS.
