Pros

The pay isn't bad for the roles. I enjoy most of my coworkers.

Cons

Pretty much everything else. Within a year they took away insurance options and 5 of 8 holidays. This, after seeing a 24 and 19% profit increase in '24 and '25. Corporate won't be open those days however, surprise surprise. I work at their new CHLC in Columbus, Ohio and it's one of the poorest building layouts I've ever seen. All of the aisles are one ways and we have turrets, order pickers, reaches, and dock stockers, as well as every department operating inside the aisles at all times. All you had to do is look at one of the many facilities around you figure it out from there. They cheaped out at the last second and didn't make the building tall enough, so we have AC units in danger of being hit during normal operations. Couple that with none of their automation or WMS systems working as intended after nearly a year and you have a disaster. They have SAP, WES, Manhattan Active, and Score (that I know of) all trying to talk to eachother and do different functions and it is horrible. The attendance policy is VERY strict. 3 pts in 12 months. Every department runs shorthanded at all times. They are also a company who uses the "until the work is done" end time and they strictly enforce it. They value checking boxes over talent when promoting. Have seen this in several instances and it helps keep morale low. Leadership is gross. They try to create this weird culture where they tell you they love you all the time and they don't even know your name. Truly odd behavior and they are very aware we feel this way. There's really not much that I enjoy about Cardinal at this point aside from my coworkers. Most of us are actively looking for new jobs...

Pros

- Good benefits - Easy training - They strive to understand how to get someone to their fullest potential

Cons

- No concrete track for promotion, to the point that it seemed impossible - They will not listen to their workers - Management on-site and higher up are very lazy - They will expect you to do the work that they schedule, even if it is impossible to complete - From the perspective of my role in quality control, it seemed impossible to make management, and also production in general, understand the time it takes for certain procedures and tests to be completed and reviewed. - Our entire site is getting shut down, and they are just now ramping up production to meet quotas and schedules. While, at the same time, keeping our severance estimations as vague as possible. - Low to no incentivization for anything
