I have been working at Cardinal Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great culture and very nice people. There are lots of opportunities for different types of marketing roles within the company.

    Cons

Really large company with multiple divisions can sometimes make it hard for career planning. Marketing roles can greatly vary depending on the team.

    Advice to Management

Provide marketing career planning workshops for employees and break down silos across the organization for better sharing of ideas.

I have been working at Cardinal Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    PTO
    Competitive salary for low-end employees
Decent benefits outside of health insurance
Great for fast paced workers and go-getters

    Cons

    Yearly raises can be lackluster
Overtime can be too much for some
    Work-life balance is sometimes difficult

    Advice to Management

Hire more folks to open the PTO calendar up for more opportunity for associates to take their time off.
Also hire more folks to train newer associates more effectively and to create a safer environment
Production expectations are often a half-baked estimate and can sometimes be too narrow to capture the amount of work an associate is actually doing.
Promote more from within on the warehouse operations side. The higher-end associates are the ones you want running the show to get things done effectively.

Overall management seems to be hit or miss, but I myself have had a great experience.

I worked at Cardinal Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

cafeteria, free coffee , water and tea, medical benefits, plenty of parking, location is close to a lot of food places, area bars and the mall. Easy access to 270.

    Cons

Low pay, constant micromanagement , antiquated attendance policies, poor training, in your face favoritism, definitely a clique mentality. You be a great performer but if you’re not connected to anyone people will speak well of you but you won’t be promoted.

    Advice to Management

Let employees do their jobs and loosen up the rule book a little. A little flexibility goes a long way because policies are meant to be a guide not the absolute letter of the law.
