Pros
great benefits and you accumulate a lot of PTO and you get 80hrs every year for sick time as well. I had so much PTO and sick time I did not even know what to do with it lol. I really like that you are able to work from home and literally clock in really quickly. They also offer A LOT of overtime and the pay is really good too considering its WFH. You save a lot on gas and also save your own time because you dont need to get ready for work. I feel like CENTENE really cares for their employees especially by doing a lot of work activities for example BINGO, scavenger hunts, etc and they dont require a lot of effort since you do these from the comfort of your home and allows employees the opportunity to win prizes like gift cards. Around the holidays I won $300 amazon GC and a really nice blanket that they shipped to my house. I also wanted to add that they give you a max of $50 deposited to your bank to help cover the cost of internet which is great. Also if you are called to jury duty, they pay you as if you were at work which was great and made up for the fact that I got summoned lol. Another great benefit of working here is the Maternity leave as well, they recently expanded the length to about 3/4 months of paid maternity leave which is amazing. Only reason why I left was because my medical assisting program started and was not able to do work and school. I will say though, that this job gave me a lot of good knowledge regarding insurance and claims which is really useful as I am studying to be a MA and made me ahead in my class. I always recommend my friends and family to apply to this company for the reasons I mentioned above. If you decide to not wfh and commute to the actual facility, you will LOVE it. Everything is brand new since it was constructed around when the pandemic started so everything hasn't really been used since everyone prefers to WFH. The office building is HUGE and actually has their own gym inside with brand new equipment. Lastly, you have a team you are assigned to in Microsoft Teams and every team has their own supervisor. I feel like this is VERY helpful because if you need ANY help or questions, they will literally help you A LOT.
Cons
You might end up getting an angry caller every here and there but honestly the benefits outweigh this. Also if the caller is being verbally abusive the company has no tolerance for that so they allow you advise the caller that the company does not tolerate that kind of language and if they continue, you will be disconnecting from the call. I feel like this company does side with their employees in situations like this which is great. Other than that, I dont think there is any other cons
