Pros

I haven't gotten sick from there

Cons

One of the shift leads told me that the Chipotle near where I lived was hiring. He told me that I could speak with the manager as he was in. I spoke with the manager above him, and he told me to apply on the website. I was hired, then he told me that the "boss" will be in on Friday. I came in on Friday and waited nearly an hour, and the general manager was interrogating me as if I waltzed into the store looking for a job. He kept asking me who called me and I said "no one". As I tried to explain the circumstances, he said that I was telling him a "story". Seemingly exhausted, despite doing nothing, he asked me for my name and he found me already in the system. He told me that I had to finish the "forms" on the website. I returned home and I finished the forms but I kept getting an error that I didn't. I couldn't stop by the store so I called and there were no response. I emailed the other general managers. Again, no response. On one of my freedays, I stopped by Chipotle and spoke to the original manager who told me to apply online and he told me that the "boss" will decide whether or not to put me on the schedule...if she likes me. The following Monday I logged onto the website and it said that my application was terminated. I was floored

Pros

Somewhat easy to pick up short term work, and depending on the location co-workers can be cool. The free meals are also pretty good, and there is a significant employee discount usually.

Cons

Extremely inconsistent experience between stores. One store I worked at had a really chill manager, while other ones would have management that made the experience absolutely miserable. I had one store that "unofficially" hired me for 18 hours one week and then refused to pay me for those hours, so I guess make absolute sure that all of your hours are recorded in their system. Because portions aren't standardized very well, a significant amount of customers will be angry at you if you don't give enough food, or if you give too much food your manager will yell at you. The fact that the food is made in front of the customer leads to significantly more negative customer interactions. If you do work at a Chipotle, make absolute sure it is one that isn't very busy, as it can be the difference between a relatively chill job and a stressful nightmare.
