Nothing to see here. Move along. - Technical Recruiter Climate Employee Review

Pros

401k is very good if you can find the strength within yourself to stay here 3 years for full vest. You won't find many jerks here...only lazy people. Good place for recruiters who want to work in an environment without strong metrics or accountability. You can easily work 20 hours or less and be considered a good employee.

Cons

Recruiting team lacks strong and tactical leadership. Luckily most people are friendly and pleasant to be around. If you value working in a high performance or a team-oriented culture you won't find it here. Despite calling themselves a data-driven company, leaders don't value data during their decision making process. From an company leadership perspective, this company is fractured. Executive staff can't agree on anything, and it permeates across the company as constant indecisiveness and unclear goals. People brush these issues off as "growing pains" internally, but it's much more than that. Attrition is very high as a result of these issues and more. I knew I had to leave when I'd hire someone and felt bad they were joining this company.

Pros

I worked as a summer intern. Overall my experience was really positive. The work environment was very friendly, I didn't feel pressured and there was a good work-life balance.

Cons

Onboarding could have been more organized

Pros

Great Team: super smart, passionate and friendly people. We take the no a-hole rule seriously! Mission: the folks that work here are genuinely motivated by our mission. We end up attracting a lot of people that defect from other tech companies b/c they are looking to do something more impactful than optimizing advertising revenue or hawking consumer electronics. Challenges: It's very cool to be part of a company that is making big bets and trying to solve an age old problem (growing food) in a very new way. I feel like we are at the cutting edge of something big. there are a few other companies out there trying to do the same thing, but i feel we have assembled the best team and resources assembled to succeed. Product: our actual product is pretty darn neat. i am proud to demo it to customers, partners and friends alike. and it is getting cooler by the month. Comp/Ben: Great benefits / incentive packages and fun workplace. The vesting schedule is a little long term though.

Cons

we have a lot of offices across the US (Seattle, Chicago, SF, St. Louis, Central Ill.). this can make it tough to stay on the same page as your colleagues, especially when some of these other offices have functional specialities. we should do a better job of fostering cross-office dialogue. The vesting schedule is a little long term.
