Pros

Good location, good coworkers, snacks, juice, being taught FMLA and state leaves, ability to work overtime, ability to assume additional responsibilities. They pay your phone and internet bill because you have to have the ability to work from home in case of emergency.

Cons

ComPsych is a good place to work, for some. Unfortunately, not everyone has the same experience and that is what needs to be fixed. There is one team lead that no one likes. Her team quits in droves but she still has a job. She cannot coach anyone because she does not know your job, therefore it's laughable when she says you made an error because more than likely, it's not true. Otherwise, the room for advancement people are saying does not come with a correlating pay raise. You have to progress through three levels before you are recommended for expert. Once you are promoted to expert, you cannot move to another role for a year, no matter how qualified. There is the opportunity to earn a monthly performance based bonus. That was nice but base salary should be more. Was surprised to learn that new people are coming in earning more than senior specialists; we were all told that they could not afford to pay us more. Too many people that do not work with you daily have an input on your progression. Everything has to be signed off by the CEO. Super hard to get into another department as everyone wants out so they can get off the phones. A lot of things I was taught aren't being taught anymore as they are pushing to automate most tasks and shorten the amount of time you handle a call. It was possible for me to move into an HR role with the things I was taught, but those skills aren't being taught to the newer specialists. I imagine they are tired of people leaving.

Pros

The mission is real here. ComPsych sits at the intersection of behavioral health and workforce wellbeing, and that purpose comes through in the daily work in a way that isn't just marketing language. If you care about the EAP space and the impact it has on employees around the world, this is a place where that matters. The people are a genuine standout. Across departments, you find colleagues who are sharp, collaborative, and invested in doing good work. Teams tend to be lean, which means individuals carry real responsibility and have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions. That can be energizing if you are someone who wants ownership over your work. The global scope of the business is a differentiator. For anyone interested in global operations, the breadth of markets and programs ComPsych operates across creates exposure that is hard to find elsewhere. There is real complexity to navigate and that complexity builds skills quickly.

Cons

Growth within the organization can feel inconsistent. There are opportunities, but they are not always visible or equitably communicated, and career pathing can vary significantly depending on your manager and team. Internal processes and cross-functional coordination can be slower than the pace of the business demands. As the company continues to grow globally, investment in infrastructure and process alignment would go a long way.
