Pros

One week training in Chicago, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Some in the class were already insurance agents, so they did well. The program was too fast paced for newbies.

Cons

In Chicago, we learned the pitch for 2 programs which my manager says I shouldn't sell, just focus on the low commission accident plan! After coming home, we were supposed to have a week field training. I got a total of about 16 hours of training two weeks after I was home! Since then, I have met with the manager twice and we were out "sight seeing" two afternoons. One afternoon, there was one presentation! We do not have morning meetings. get a text message almost every night as to how well others are doing. The manager acts like he is afraid of the I-Pad! I suggested Facetime meetings, but he would not go for that. When I call with a problem, I get no answer from the manager, I have to ask someone higher up for a solution. I haven't made enough commission to pay for the gas!

I don't like the new 4 day in office mandate but it's fine.

Pros

The people I work with

Cons

Higher up management expects so much out of you. Keeps asking for more and more responsibility without a pay raise.
