Pros

Very little to no "pros" from Xerox/Conduent. Within my unit, benefits such as free or highly discounted cruises and prizes/bonus money come directly from the cruise line not from Xerox/Conduent. It was fun to be part of the cruise industry but ultimately not worth it because of this employer.

Cons

Poisonous company culture. They keep rotating the SBU (strategic business unit) managers and changing the pay structure. The pay was changed probably four times in the five years I was there. I started when the company name was ACS. They do business process outsourcing. BPO is definitely not good for the worker. ACS was acquired by Xerox around 2012 and started losing a lot of money and Xerox changed this division name to Conduent in 2016. Both Xerox and their client make money off the worker, giving the worker less pay and a more complicated work experience. Here's one example of how bad and "evil" this company is: We had a super hard working manager that did everything he could to increase the pay of his employees and to secure more work from the client. He really motivated our staff to completely out-perform workers employed directly from the client (in this case Expedia). He battled both Expedia and Xerox on our behalf and worked 10-12 hour days consistently. One day this gentleman actually collapsed at work and was taken away by EMT's. Since he had a debilitating illness, he asked for a medical leave of absence. Xerox declined it and fired him. Don't work for these weasels.

Pros

Paid on time, provided equipment, decent benefits from day one, nice co-workers

Cons

Sweatshop mentality of the supervisors, threats of demotion/termination for medical leave, random layoffs when calls didn't justify hours, with those same hours shifted to supervisors to keep them active. Unable to print paystubs, had to request everything through a supervisor, and provide copious amounts of private information to have the request honored. Corrosive environment - I left as soon as I got another offer, gave 24 hours notice (and I've never, ever done that before). Unless you're on the verge of homelessness or starvation, avoid at all costs.
