Business Outlook

Pros

- A very rewarding experience teaching Chinese children English - Can teach anywhere with stable ADSL2 or better internet. - Reliable payment and documentation - A problem solving, cooperative and friendly support staff - Bonus payments for teaching over holiday periods - half pay retainer for no class during working hours - teaching time fills up quickly with regular classes - decent pay rate

Cons

- Only part-time - Reports can be difficult to write and word. - Time taken for writing reports is not paid for (I take an extra hour after a three hour class session) - No paid leave - Method of career progression within company is unclear - No clear hierarchy and thus impossible to use a supervisor as a referee - In eastern Australia I finish work at about 11pm.
