Pros

unlimited PTO (up to 15 days, then it becomes monitored)

Cons

This company is in a cultural crisis. People are dropping like flies. They hold AMA sessions to give the appearance of transparency, but they condemn any questions that even slightly rock the boat. Rather than viewing these sessions as a chance to hold themselves accountable, the leaders take everything personally. They go to all means necessary to coerce our silent, obedient consent. I was so disheartened at the last AMA when human resources referred to questions about gender pay gap within the company as being a “waste of time.” When your senior leaders and human resources are making comments like this, you know it’s a problem. A lawsuit is likely imminent.

Daxko Response

Daxko has an array of great benefits including flexible paid time off. We ask for an additional level of approval after 15 days to ensure that all team members are taking advantage of this time to recharge plus, unfortunately, when it was not monitored, we had some people abuse the benefit. Your complaint about the Ask Me Anything (AMA) is a BIG misunderstanding. The same question had previously been asked and answered at a previous session immediately prior to the session being referenced. We think the confusion is that the response given was inviting the individual who asked the question to come talk to the CFO or any certified member of the People Development team if they wanted more details. We have held 10 AMAs in the last 90 days with senior leaders in (Birmingham, Chicago, Denver and Zoom for remote team members) and any suggestion that we are not open, transparent and accountable is simply not true. Although posting your grievance online does get a response, we suspect it is not particularly helpful. Why don’t you meet with the CFO or the People Team to discuss your views and questions in detail? To remove all doubt, we do not tolerate discrimination whether it is on the basis of sex, race, national origin, color, age, religion, disability, pregnancy, or any other legally protected characteristic. In addition, Daxko prohibits discriminatory treatment of individuals on the basis of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. If you know of any situation or instance that concerns you, you are obligated to immediately bring it to the attention of a senior leader or the people team. To help ensure we maintain a safe work environment, we have annual mandatory training on Respect in the Workplace addressing discrimination, harassment and respect.

Pros

Everybody I work with is incredible. My team is amazing, my manager is supportive, and its an incredibly fun working environment

Cons

The compensation is terrible. Its way under market, and even within the company, it doesnt make sense. I am not in an entry level role, but some people in my department who are in an entry level role (some of whom report to me) make more than I do. When I asked about that, I was told "that's just how it is at Daxko". They recently added "time in role" requirements for advancement, which disincentivizes workers to keep innovating when no matter how they perform, they're stuck in their role for 2-3 years before they can even be considered for advancement. Some of the ELT have a stated philosophy that, if you want to make good money, show youre worth good money. Which I agree with. But it only works of you actually do step up and pay those employees who have earned it what they're worth. Otherwise, its just an excuse to cheap out. Also, some people are remote and others are hybrid, even if they have the same job title and responsibilities. Its frustrating when some people never have to come to to the office and others do despite having the exact same role and responsibilities
